Today, Eto'o and his agent made fools of themselves. As reported by Reuters, at a news conference earlier today, Eto'o's agent Jose Maria Mesalles said he had received the contract offer from Barcelona late on Monday after previously having been told coach Pep Guardiola did not want to keep the player. After all these years, Eto'o should know better not to allow his agent to lie on his behalf and has basically ended his career at FC Barcelona.

Barça's defensive midfielder Touré Yayá has finally agreed on a new contract that will bind him to Barcelona until 2012. According to El Mundo Deportivo, Real Zaragoza could be the next destination for Barcelona's full back Martin Cáceres. Both Zaragoza's Sports Director, Antonio Prieto, and Cáceres agent Daniel Fonseca have expressed their good disposition to agree on a loan from Barcelona with an option to buy.
