Guardiola picks 19 players to train for Clasico cup tie while Pepe is cleared to play. PDF Print E-mail

FC Barcelona held their training session this morning behind closed doors as they prepare for their cup tie against Real Madrid later on today. Today’s training session had a surprise visitor when club legend, Luis Suarez, dropped to watch the session. 19 players have been picked by Guardiola in preparation for today’s encounter with 17 first team players along with Barça B players Jonathan Dos Santos, and Sergi Roberto. In other news, Pepe was also cleared to play today since he was not punished by the RFEF for his actions after stepping on Messi’s hand in the first leg. The game kicks off at 4 PM and you can watch it with your fellow Barça fans at Fritz & Franz. GolTV and ESPN Deportes will also be broadcasting the game along with live streaming on ESPN 3.

 

The same 19 players that travelled to Malaga were part of Guardiola’s training session yesterday and today. 17 players from the first team along with Barça B players Jonathan Dos Santos and Sergi Roberto participated in these training sessions that were held behind closed doors. The players trained in the Camp Nou this morning after spending the night at the team’s hotel. The official club’s website stated that the game was being treated with the utmost importance. It was also announced on the club’s website that the legendary former Barça player, Luis Suarez, dropped by to witness the training session and chat a bit with Guardiola. He also told Barça TV that today’s game will be a great game and hopes that Barça wins and advances.

In other news, it was revealed today that RFEF will not discipline Real Madrid’s Pepe for his actions in the first leg last week. Even though there was evidence that Pepe stepped on Messi’s hand, the RFEF opted not to punish the defender. He made the journey today with the rest of the Madrid team who arrived today for today’s encounter. The game kicks off at 4 PM and you can watch it with your fellow Barça fans at Fritz & Franz.
