Barça Defeat Real Betis 2-0 in Season Opener.

FC Barcelona kicked off the 2017-2018 La Liga season with a 2-0 win against Real Betis at the Camp Nou. Following the horrific terror attack that shocked Barcelona earlier this week, FC Barcelona kicked off their new league campaign by hosting Real Betis at the Camp Nou. Barça players had “Barcelona” on the back of their shirts instead of their names in front of the 56,480 Blaugrana faithful at the Camp Nou. The home side took the lead in the 35th minute courtesy of an Alin Tosca own goal. Moments later, a superb tackle from Mascherano resulted in Barça scoring their second and final goal of the game courtesy of Sergi Roberto in the 37th minute. Neither side score and  Betis failed to register a shot on goal. Next up for Barça is a trip away on Saturday to face Copa del Rey finalists Deportivo Alavés.
