Barça Defeat Alavés 2-0.

FC Barcelona continued their perfect start to the season with a 2-0 victory away to Alavés. Messi could have given Barça a first half lead but he was denied from the spot thanks to a superb save from keeper Pacheco. Messi though would make amends 10 minutes into the second half by scoring his first league goal of the season and his 350th league goal. In the 65th minute, Messi scored Barça’s second and final goal of the game to give the Blaugrana the three points on their first away fixture in what was also Paulinho’s first official appearance as a Barça player, when he came on as a substitute two minutes from the final whistle. Next up for Barça will be the Derbi barceloní against Espanyol at the Camp Nou on September 9, 2017, after the international break concludes.
