FC Barcelona continued their perfect start to the season with a come from behind victory away to Real Sociedad. Luis Suárez and Dembélé scored in the second half for the club’s fourth win of the season and now will get ready to face PSV on Tuesday for their Champions League opener.
FC Barcelona resumed league action following the international break. The venue was the refurbished Anoeta stadium. Manager Ernesto Valverde’s lineup had some new faces in it but the team seemed lethargic in the first half which saw them fall behind after 13 minutes when Aritz Elustondo gave Real Sociedad the lead. The second half saw Coutinho and then Busquets introduced to help lead the comeback. Ter Stegen was vital for the club as he pulled off key saves to keep the Blaugrana only down one goal. Luis Suárez though would score the equalizer after he scored from close range in the 63rd minute during a corner kick where the ball was headed down by Umtiti to him.
Four minutes later, Barça grabbed the lead for good, during another corner kick, after the ball bounced around before Dembélé scored the game winner. This result ensured that the Blaugrana remain perfect with 4 wins from their 4 matches and sit atop of the standings. The Blaugrana now have to shift their attention to Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League opener at the Camp Nou when they host PSV.
