FC Barcelona battled back from being down 2-1 to snatch victory from the jaws of defeats thanks to late goals from Ousmane Dembélé and Luis Suárez for a come from behind 3-2 win at Rayo Vallecano. Suárez had given Barça the lead after 11 minutes when he connected with Jordi’s Alba’s to score from close range. The hosts Rayo though would respond in the 35th minute when Pozo blasted a powerful shot off the post for the equalizer. Rayo then would take the lead in the 57th minute courtesy of Alavaro Garcia scoring off of a rebound. Just like last week, Valverde’s substitution paid off as substitute Dembélé scored in the 87th minute with a well struck volley. Rayo fans were then stunned when Suárez scored in stoppage time by timing his run perfecting to meet Sergi Roberto’s cross and direct it past the Rayo keeper, Alberto. This result ensured Barça remained league leaders and they now shift their attention to Tuesday’s clash against Inter in Milan.
