Barça winter champions after defeating Celta Vigo 2-0.

Barça head into the winter break as winter champions following their 2-0 victory over Celta Vigo. Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembélé were the goal scorers at the Camp Nou which meant they enter the winter break with a three-point lead atop of the league table. Messi had a lending hand in the opener in the 10th minute when his effort on goal was stopped by goalkeeper Ruben Blanco, only for the ball to fall to Dembélé who slotted the ball between Blanco’s legs to open the scoring. Messi made it 2-0 in the 45th minute after Jordi Alba’s perfectly timed delightful pass found Messi unmarked inside Celta’s box before delivering a superb finish to make it 2-0. Barça will now enjoy the holiday break before returning to action on January 6, 2019 when they travel to Madrid to face Getafe.
