FC Barcelona suffered their first loss of 2019 following their 2-1 defeat in the first leg of their Copa del Rey Round oft-16 tie away to Levante today. Barça left many starters back in Barcelona for today’s game and new on loan signing Murillo made his debut. Levante scored two goals in the first twenty minutes courtesy of Erick Cabaco and Borja Mayoral to give their side the lead before halftime. Denis Suarez came off the bench and was a spark for the Blaugrana. He won them a penalty in final minutes of the game and Coutinho stepped up and converted from the spot into the bottom corner to score the club’s lone goal. Barça will host Levante next Thursday at the Camp Nou to overturn this 2-1 result. However, they now will have to shift their attention to the league when they host Eibar on Sunday.
